Embark on a journey to make impact and transform your life!

We partner with Phong Y Catholic Church, Thanh Hoa Diocese, VN.   Our summer camp is a life-changing opportunity for participants.  The camp activities are unique in that it represents the only Summer Camp in Thanh Hoa, Viet Nam.   Which offers a free program, day-long learning, entertaining and distinctive character building activities for its participants and the community.

Your responsibilities: 

• Program materials will be provided

• Lead & facilitate own classroom activities, class preparation, and other assigned duties 

• Classroom duration:  

  • Monday - Friday Morning session 7:30 - 10:00. 

  • Afternoon session 2:30 - 5:00

• Class size: varies (depends on number of participants) (participants ages: 9-18)

• Actively participate in community and parish life and engage in additional activities or projects of interest.

• Showcase your creativity. 

What's Required?​

• Must be committed full duration

• Responsible for your own airline tickets, travel insurance, Visa application fees 

• At least 16 of age

• Highly flexible, mature, and have a genuine interest in working with kids, passion to serve others. 

• Must be U.S citizen

• Minimum age 16

• Good health

Housing, Amenities and Meals:​

• You will be housed at Phong Y Parish Rectory

• You will have your own room (depends on availability), air conditioned, clean, and comfortable, twin bed, linens and pillowcases, towels included. 

•  Modern bathroom (shower and standard toilet)

• Wifi

• Desk and chair

• Your meals will be provided daily - breakfast, lunch, and dinner (local cuisine)

• You will be responsible for your own snacks, and other personal expenses.

Daily Schedule:

• 6:30am- 7:00am       Breakfast

• 7:30am -10:00 am     Class (15 minutes break in between classes)

• 11:00am - 2:30 pm    Lunch/Personal time

• 2:30pm - 5:00pm       Class (15 mins break in between classes)

• 5:30pm - 6:30pm      Dinner with the family in the area

• 7:00pm - 8:00pm    

• 7:00pm - 8:00pm        Dinner

• The rest of the night is your own time

• Saturday morning 8:00 - 11:00 community outreach

• Sunday morning 8:00 - 10:00 mass and outdoor activities 

• Exciting evening program during volunteering weekend: eat out, city tour, beach, shopping

Travel Itinerary: 

• Depart: June 6th

• Day 1 Arrival at Ha Noi

• Day 2 rest

• Day 3 Onsite Orientation & local sightseeing

• Day 4  rest 

• Day 5 Start camp activities

• The last 3 days getaway to HaNoi or Ha Long Bay before heading home

• Depart for airport, back home

• Return: July 24th

Transportation & Safety:

• Transportation will be provided from-to airport, other outings 

• You are respons

• ible for taxi fare if you decided to explore the area (not encourage) (must be over 18)

• You need to get permission (under 18)

• Outings in a group are strongly advised & recommended

Weekend Activities:

• Saturday: Community outreach, tour city, or beach

• Sunday afternoon- hang out with the locals, or rest. 

• Some weeknights: dinner out

• End of summer (3 days getaway to Ha Noi) before heading home.
